Bamboo is the richest known source of Silica which, together with Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Green Tea, form a mighty force of antioxidants which are known to combat the potentially dangerous effects of free radicals in the environment (both internal and external).
This antioxidant combination also protects the skin from UV light.
Free radicals damage the skin by impacting on collagen and elastin - these are the proteins which are responsible for the tone and elasticity of our skin.
Lack of collagen and elastin contributes to the aging process and which is why we suffer from wrinkles, age spots and lines as we get older.
Vitamin C is also vital to collagen production.
A point worth noting is that collagen is not only found in our skin - it is also in our cartilage and bones.
Hyaluronic acid is a vital component of the connective tissue which fills the gaps between the cells of the skin and other tissues.
It is referred to as 'nature's moisturiser' due to its ability to bind up to 1000 times its own weight of water.
Capsule Composition
Each 467mg capsule contains:
- Collagen 350mg
- Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) 30mg
- Green Tea 30mg
- Alpha Lipoic Acid 25mg
- Hyaluronic Acid 9.3mg
- Bamboo Extract (silica) 9.3mg
- Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) 4mg
In addition, Skinfluence Inner Beauty capsules also contain magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide and gelatine (capsule shell)
Directions for Use
Take two capsules in the evening, one hour before going to bed.
Important Points to Note
Skinfluence Plus Inner Beauty Capsules are not suitable for those pregnant or breast feeding, vegetarians, people with known sensitivities to chicken or beef.
Other important things to note:
· Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron and should be avoided by people with iron overload diseases (e.g., hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis).
· People with the following conditions should consult their doctor before supplementing with vitamin C: glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, iron overload (hemosiderosis or hemochromatosis), history of kidney stones, or kidney failure.
· Individuals with heart disease or diabetes should consult their doctor before taking vitamin E.
· Do not take products containing alpha lipoic acid in combination with diabetic medication without the approval and monitoring or a GP
· Not suitable for persons with high blood pressure
· This product is not suitable for persons on aspirin, warfarin or other blood thinning medications.
· Green Tea is not suitable for persons sensitive to caffeine.
· High intakes of caffeine may cause insomnia and anxiety
· Frequent use of green tea could, in theory, promote the development of iron deficiency in susceptible individuals.
