Easy to use. It does what it says it will do. No frills - no fancies - just a product that lives up to what they say it will do.
I was so happy i have told loads of people about it. I even bought one for my daughter and now my sister is interested too.

what do the settings relate to?
gena
* * * * *

I ahve only just got my device so cannot rate its performance, but when setting up my own programme is would be good to know what each setting relates to.

For instance the uS setting? what does this relate to as when it is higher i can feel my device more

Peak Nutrition Replies:

Hello, the settings relate to both the type of exercise being performed (for example, setting 9 is the Pelvic Floor Workout) and to the frequency and strength of the pulse - the higher the setting the higher the electronic pulse will be (hence you will feel stronger pulses with a higher setting). The Operators Manual does give a guide to each programme - generally, most women find a couple of programmes that they find most useful and stick to them - a continence programme for example and a general pelvic floor workout. Many thanks

I have tried a few different pelvic toners before I came across this one. It is just brilliant as I find it easy to use-no input required! I have just started using it after I had baby no.3 & my husband can't quite work out why everything feels so tight & I haven't enlightened him-I'll keep it my secret! It really feels like a proper workout-ther is no comparison to trying to do the exercises yourself.

I've only been using the toner for a couple of weeks but have notice more muscle strength which can only be a good thing! I am trying to avoid surgery for a minor prolapse and hope that in the eight weeks I have left before my review with the surgeon it will have performed a mini miracle!
Really easy to use, quite a pleasant sensation. Documentation difficult to initially understand. My advice is to find a programme that sounds right and just have a go!

Firstly I want to thank peak-nutrition for the great recommendation of this product. I have a 5 year old son and after the birth of my son, things weren't how they were before. My husband never complained but I know that he couldn't feel anything when we made love. I've been using this for about 9 weeks now using programme 9 which is pelvic floor workout and I'm so happy with it..as it has made me ''TIGHT'' again. I'm happy to say that I do satisfy my husband now...thanks to the PELVITONE!!!

This is a brilliant product. I have been using it for some time now and it has cured any 'leakages' when coughing and sneezing. It has also cured the 'dripping' that sometime occurred after urinating. From speaking to friends that have had children, both these problems are common.

I've tried a couple of toners in the past and this is the only one where I really felt I had a quality unit that offered me the flexibility to "play" around until I got the programme I wanted. I can change it to a 10 minute or a 30 minute work out. I can even use it for an overall "pelvic work out"!! Great product and really good value for money

Question: Hi I am interested in buyingnerotrac pelvitone and probe, pelvicfloor exerciser indicator as well.
How much is the price in Australian dollars and how much will it be to ship to Australia, Sydney.
regards
Shivanthy
Our Answer:

Hello, I'm afraid that we do not ship to Australia. Many thanks

Question: As I using a neurotrac pelvitone loned from the hospital for my pelvic floor treatment. Do I qualify for vat free If I bought one from you, I am also Diabetic.

Thankyou
Our Answer:

Hello, yes, you will qualify for VAT exemption as you are using the Pelvitone for medical reasons.

When you buy the Pelvitone at the VAT exempt price online you will see a link to our VAT exemption form in your order confirmation - you simply need to fill this in and return it. It is a self-certification form, so you do not need a doctor's note or signature. Many thanks

Question: Am I using my pelvitone correctly, have had it for two weeks now, use it on programme 9 each time and have it turned up to 80 each time, when it finishes I tend to start the programme again, meaning that I do a 90 programme daily.

Think the product is great but a bit concerned that most people seem to be using it on 20 - 30, am I causing more damage than good?? or have by the sounds of it badly scarred muscles. I bought the machine as noticed slight leaking whilst excercising, sometimes quite heavy, however sex has never been a problem and my hubby has never complained, still have complete feeling down below.
Our Answer:

Hello, using it at 80 is a very high setting to be starting with. We would normally advise that you start low and build up - the best way to get an idea of the strength of the pulses is to place the trainer in the crook of your arm, and gradually increase the strength - you will soon see that the pulses are very strong!
Also, I would strongly advise against running two 45-minute programmes back to back. The 45 minute programme is a thorough work out, and it is not intended that you do two of them straight after each other. In our experience the 45 minute session should be run a maximum of once a day. Many thanks

Question: Hi I have a neurotrac pelvic floor excersier have had it 3 yrs and not used it much. However I have lately had a mirena coil fitted can I still use my neurotrac
Our Answer:

Hello, as you have an IUD you should talk to your healthcare professional before using any pelvic toner. It should be fine and we know of many customers who use toners with these devices fitted but you should always check with a doctor or nurse first. Thank you

Question: My Physio has suggested I purchase the PelviTone for my prolapse but was wondering whether you rely solely on this machine or whether you combine it with doing the exercises yourself. If so how often would you use the machine per week and how many times a week would you do the exercises yourself?
Our Answer:

Hello, the PelviTone exercises the pelvic floor muscles on its own, without the need for additional manual exercising. However, as you are seeing a physio for treatment, we would recommend that you speak with your physio for their advice, as they may wish you to do additional exercises. Many thanks

Question: Hi I have been using the pelvitone for 2 years for a prolapse and it has really worked..however I have noticed recently that the current hasn't been as strong as on previous occasions and seems to go back down to zero then stop working. I have changed the batteries and this hasn't helped. Do I need to change any part of it or could it be that I need to ramp up the ma? I use it between 39 and. 50
Thanks
Our Answer:

Hello, it may be the trainer that needs replacing - we do sell a compatible trainer separately on our site - the Periform+ Intra-Vaginal Probe - the link is: http://www.peak-nutrition.co.uk/brand/periform/periform_intra-vaginal_probe.htm. It is unlikely that you need to ramp up the mA - from what you have said it would probably be the trainer coming to the end of its life. Many thanks, Richard

Question: Hi, I have bought a pelvic toner, but am not sure how to use it. Do I have to contract my pelvic muscles while using the machine? and when I used it, I could not really feel anything, even though I kept turning it up. Do you have any more instructions or guides. I have contacted a local physio who specialises in helping women with weak pelvic muscles and said that I have bought this machine. She said she had never heard of it. I told her it was on embarassing body program. So I don't think this physio is going to be much help. I would be grateful for any more assistance from you. Many thanks
Margaret
Our Answer:

Dear Margaret

Don't be surprised if the physio hasn't heard of it. If things are not supplied within the NHS and people don't read outside of NHS literature they are rarely up to date.

You can check if the device is working correctly by testing it in the crook of your elbow. You need to moisten your arm lightly and then put the probe on so the metal plates make contact with the arm when you fold your elbow. Then select the appropriate program and start to increase the intensity slowly until you start to feel the tingle. You should feel it for a few seconds and then it will rest for a few seconds. This will form the contract and rest motions for your pelvic muscles when used with the probe inserted.

Once you have ascertained the unit is working and you want to try it internally, you need to make sure that there is sufficient moisture for the probe to make contact. If it is a bit difficult to insert or feels dry you ma require a little help with a lubricant. If this is not the case just ensure that the metal plates are facing the East and West position, i.e. matching the direction of your left and right arm rather than towards your tummy and back. Once inserted correctly (which will be just with the end of the probe sticking out with most ladies) you gently increase the intensity as with the earlier test.

If you would like us to walk you through any of the settings or you feel it is not working correctly. Please give us a call and one of our ladies will be more than happy to help you.

Best regards

Sharon

Question: Dear Sir,
I am a physiotherapist who treats patients with pelvic floor problems.
please could you tell me what frequencies the different programmes on the Pelvitone provide?
Thank you,
Wendy
Our Answer:

Hello, I have sent by separate email the user guide for the PelviTone, which shows the frequencies used in each programme. Many thanks, Richard

Question: Hi, I've been using the Pelvitone for some time on programme 9 and have been steadily increasing the milliamps - my unit is pre-set to zero although I've just noticed in answer to a previous question that you say it should be pre-set to a relevant ma. I've now at about 44 ma to get sensation and wondering if there is a maximum that I should set the unit to?! Can I end up up doing more damage than good?! Thanks
Our Answer:

It's fine to go as high as required - it won't cause damage - your body will tell you if it's uncomfortable or not. It is not unusual to go past 44 ma to get sensation - it's really a sign that your muscles are getting stronger as time goes on you have to increase to get the muscles to contract. Kind regards,

Question: Hi there,
I would like to order the Neurotrac Pelvitone however am confused with regards to the VAT exempt, or VAT inclusive options. I live in the UK, which one do I need to order?
Many Thanks
Michelle
Our Answer:

Hello,

If you are using the PelviTone to help with stress or urge incontinence - both of which are classed as chronic conditions - then you should order the VAT exclusive PelviTone. If you wish to use the PelviTone purely for improving sexual intimacy, then you need to order the VAT inclusive version, as this is not considered a chronic condition. If you need further clarification, please call us on 0800 612 6394.

Many thanks

Question: I have purchased the Plevitone to help with my very weak pelvic floor. I put it on programme 9 - but even at level 15 for strength I still don't feel anything. I know it is going as I can feel a strange pulse through my back - so I have lowered it to level 9.

Are my muscles just too weak - will the pelvitone still be working and maybe over time I will feel it.

Hope you can help - thanks
Our Answer:

Hello, quite often women do not feel the pulsing sensation when they first use a pelvic toner - this can be caused by, amongst other things, scarring of the vaginal walls during childbirth, or simply through nerve dasmage that occurs over time. The PelviTone will still be working even if you cannot feel it, so we do recommend that you only use lower levels until the condition of your vaginal muscles improves, and slowly increase it. Many thanks

Question: Is the Pelvitone effective for men if used analY? Are there any reports from men on how well it works?
Our Answer:

Hello, the PelviTone can be used by men with the optional Anuform trainer (which is designed specifically for anal use). We have had very positive feedback from male customers who have used the PelviTone with the Anuform - including a customer who suffers from partial paralysis, who noticed a dramatic improvement after just a couple of weeks in the level of continence.

Question: Are you supposed to feel the sensation thet the machine makes in the pelvic area?
I am using 100 hz and 300 us, PC 2. It is the first time I have used the neuroTrac. I could feel the effect in my hand when testing but not inside..
Our Answer:

Hello, it is quite common for women to be unable to feel the electrical stimulation when they first start to use a pelvic toner. This may be due to internal scarring caused quite naturally during childbirth, or a decrease in sensitivity generally. If you can feel the toner in your hand then you will be aware that the pulses are quite strong, so this will be replicated when you use the trainer internally. We therefore recommend that you increase the pulse strength slowly and gradually.
Many women find that the feeling inside their vagina improves as they use the pelvic toner for a preiod of time. Many thanks

Question: can this product be shipped to the usa
Our Answer:

Hello, we ship daily to the US - simply add in the products you are interested in to the cart and it will automatically show you the shipping rate to your country. Many thanks

Question: Hi, I have just purchased the Nerotrak Pelvitone and would like to know what programme to use. I cannot feel my partner during sex and would like to tighten the relevent muscles to resolve this. So do I use the lack of sensitivity or pelvic workout progframme or both ?
Mant thanks
Our Answer:

Hi, we would recommend that you use a combination of both - the pelvic floor workout is a longer treatment so I would suggest using this a couple of times a week, and use the lack of sensitivity programme each day, which will improve your vaginal embrace. Many thanks

Question: hi i am interested in purchasing the pelvitone. I am just wondering how long i would use it for and how often? i am wanting to try and improve sensation which has been lost since having 2 children? i dont suffer incontinence although i do feel i have lost alot of sensation and sensitivity please advise if this will help as i dont want surgery after 2 episiotomy's - Thanks
Our Answer:

Hello, the PelviTone is extremely effective in helping both with general vaginal muscle tone and with incontinence issues. The pelvic floor muscles, like any muscle group, will require some time to "tone-up", and help improve the sensation within the vagina, and the vaginal embrace that is often affected by childbirth.

Normally, women using the PelviTone for improving overall sensitivity and improving muscle tone see improvements within just a few weeks, and for incontinence related problems we normally advise 6-8 weeks of regular use. Many thanks

Question: Hiya, I have just purchased this product and found that I need the MA to be on a high level not 4 as in the quick start notes usually 26 before I feel the pulse is this normal or am i doing something wrong.

Also, can this product give you a water infection.
Our Answer:

Hello, firstly, no, the PelviTone cannot give you a water infection. We would advise that it is cleaned properly after use, but it will not give you an infection.

We always recommend that you start slowly and build up with the pulses - you may find that you do not feel the pulses at a lower level, but the muscles will still be exercised. Women, particualrly if they have had children, may experience some loss of sensation within the vagina through scarring to the vagina walls. If you place the probe in the crook of your arm you will see that at 4mA the pulses are still quite strong, so remember that this strength will be replicated when inserted, hence the advice to start off slow! Many women find that the sensation returns over time as you use the pelvic trainer. Don't worry, it is quite normal to not feel the pulses at the lower levels! Many thanks

Question: Hi
I spoke to my physio about the neuro trac pelvitone and she said that it only helps you to recognise that you are doing your pelvic floor exercises correctly.

The continence nurse also told me I have a slight prolapse. She also said that there is no machine that will help strengthen the pelvic floor and that I have to do the exercises myself.

I am a bit confused as after reading the reviews it sounds like it actually does the pelvic floor exercise for you. I have been having some leakage after having a hysterectomy 16 months ago and also if I sneeze, cough etc.

Can you tell me if the pelvitone can help me or should I just do the exercises myself which I have been told will take months before I find any improvement? I don't want to spend money on something that wont work or is not suitable for me.

Thanks
Our Answer:

Hello,

Well, there are quite a few inaccuracies and mistakes that it would be worth clearing up here. Your physio is completely wrong in what she says. The PelviTone by Neurotrac exercises the pelvic floor muscles by electrical stimulation meaning that you do not have to do the exercises yourself.

We do have products such as the Periform, which help you to see that you are doing the kegel pelvic exercises correctly, but the electronic pelvic floor exercisers do the exercises for you and help strengthen the muscles.

Your continence nurse is also quite wrong, and it is quite frustrating when we see such woefully inaccurate information still being given out by healthcare professionals. You can watch the videos we have on the site where continence nurses explain how the pelvic toners will strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, thus helping with incontinence. You really should suggest that the continence nurse who looks after you does her research, and perhaps needs some up to date training rather than the outdated and incorrect information that she is passing onto her patients.

We have been selling pelvic toners for many years, and from our experience, the feedback we get from the women who have bought the various models available, and also from modern medical information, we know that they WILL help strengthen the pelvic floor and it WILL help with incontinence issues. The PelviTone is our most popular model, and also has the highest reviews.

If you would like to speak to one of our advisors then do please give us a call on 0800 612 6394 - we are always happy to try to help.

Many thanks

Question: do i need the device that goes inside the body as well as the "machine" or does it all come in one pack?
Our Answer:

Hi, if you purchase a PelviTone from us it comes with the probe as well - you have everything you need in one place!

Question: Hi.Can you use this product if you have had laser treatment in cervix
Our Answer:

Hello, you would need to check with your doctor prior to using a pelvic floor exerciser if you have had a specific laser treatment. Many thanks

Question: Hi, my doctor has said I have a slight prolapse and to do pelvic floor exercises and not get constipation, would a pelvic toner help?
Our Answer:

Hello, if your doctor has given you the go ahead to use a pelvic toner with your prolapse (we normally ask women to check with their doctor first) then yes, the pelvic toners including the PelviTone would be beneficial with helping with your prolapse. The pelvic toners help firm up and tone all muscles in the pelvic floor area, so this should help your muscles retain a prolapse. Many thanks

Question: Will this product work for me? I have had a hysterectomy and have now got leakage?
Our Answer:

Hello, if by leakage you mean some urinary incontinence, then yes the PelviTone will help build up your pelvic floor muscle tone and help you control involuntary leaks. You need to be sure that your hysterectomy has fully healed before using a Pelvic Toner, though. Many thanks

Question: I have just got my pelvitone what programme should i use for a bit of incontinence ans to tone and tighten muscles
Our Answer:

Hello, the PelviTone has a range of functions, but programme 9 will give a good workout for the whole pelvic floor area, which will help with incontinence and also exercise, tone and tighten the muscles. Many thanks

Question: I have been diagnosed with a stage 1 prolapse, front and rear and have been using a pelvic stimulator provided on loan by the NHS. I am now looking to purchase a machine for myself. Can you advise if yours would be suitable for me and if I would be VAT exempt. Other sites seem to indicate that a prolapse would qualify for VAT exemption. Thanks
Our Answer:

Hello, if you have been advised by your GP to use a pelvic toner, then yes, the PelviTone would be ideal for you. You would also qualify for the VAT exempt model, too. Many thanks

Question: just got my pelvicTone, please could you tell me how often i use it, ihave lack of sensitivity. & if when inserted im meant to try to do my pelvic floor excersises? thank you
Our Answer:

Hello, we recommend that the PelviTone is used once a day. You don't need to do pelvic floor exercises when using a PelviTone - it does all the work for you by making the muscles contract and relax and thus tones them up. Many thanks

Question: Can you use the pelvi-tone if you have the contraceptive copper coil (IUD). thanks
Our Answer:

Hello, as you have an IUD you should talk to your healthcare professional before using any pelvic toner. It should be fine and we know of many customers who use toners with these devices fitted but you should always check with a doctor or nurse first. Thank you.

Question: What is the correct way to insert the probe? I don't understand hip to hip. The metal parts should face. Right and left or front and back? Thank u
Our Answer:

The metal parts on the probe should be inserted into the vagina so that they align right and left - in other words running on the sides of the probe rather than on the top and bottom of the probe. Many thanks

Question: hi there, can you tell me is this device something you can walk about with, run with etc. Is it wireless? Do i have to sit still? i'm not quite sure how it works. Thanks.
Our Answer:

Hello, the PelviTone needs to be used when sitting or lying down - the trainer would fall out if you tried running or walking around when it is inserted! The best time to use it is when you get a chance to sit back and relax - watching TV or reading in bed are perfect. The PelviTone isn't wireless, and has two small wires that run from the trainer back to the main unit. For a wireless Pelvic Toner, you'd need to go for the AthenaFem. Many thanks

Question: Do you know if this product is suitable for vulval pain ie vulvodynia? There is a lot of info about pelvic floor instability and vulval pain.
Our Answer:

Hello, this product is not designed to alleviate vulvodynia - you will need to see your GP or gynaecologist to get this sorted out, I'm afraid. Many thanks.

Question: Would this help an overactive bladder?
Our Answer:

Hello, the PelviTone may well be able to help with an overactive bladder, especially if used in combination with bladder training - your GP, nurse or continence advisor should be able to advise you on how to do this training if it is appropriate for you. Many thanks

Question: Can i use the toner whilst pregnant?
Our Answer:

We normally suggest you wait until 6 weeks at least after giving birth. However, you really need to ask your midwife or Dr. Thanks

Question: Please can you tell me what warranty comes with this?
Also, I am a little confused about the VAT exempt element. I recently had an operation for a large rectocele and was referred by my Consultant for pelvic floor physio and electical pelvic floor stimulation. Unfortunately I have to buy my own unit for 'health and safety' reasons!! Would I be exempt for VAT?
Thanks,
Lesa
Our Answer:

Hi, firstly - yes you should be able to purchase the VAT exempt version as the vat exemption refers to a chronic illness - ie one that is long term such as stress or urge incontinence. The warranty is a 1 year return to base warranty. Many thanks

Question: I have had the Pelvi Tone for about five weeks bit confused about which program to use so have stuck to 4 - I am increasing the intensity quite regularly to be able to feel the tightening sensation is that right. I have stress incontinence while exercising and have only noticed a slight improvement initially and then it seemed that I have lost that -should I be trying one of the other programs?
Our Answer:

Hello, you can use both programmes 3 and 4 for stress incontinence - however, you could try using programme 9 - the Pelvic Floor Workout - 45 minutes in total. This is a much longer programme, and really starts to work the muscles up. The muscles are built up gradually with the Pelvitone, so you should start seeing improvements soon. If you need any advice, do call us on 0800 612 6394 and we'll talk you through the programmes. Many thanks

Question: Hi there, it may seem a bit naive of me, but why are there vat exempt
models, what difference is there, or what I mean is, why is one exempt and the other exclusive.
Kind regards Jean .
Our Answer:

Hello, you are able to qualify for VAT exemption on the Pelvitone, Athena Fem and Athena Spirit pelvic toners if you suffer from stress or urge incontinence. We send you a self-certification exemption form with your order in this case.

However, if you are looking to buy a pelvic toner just for general toning of the pelvic floor and tightening of the vaginal embrace, and do NOT suffer from stress or urge incontinence, then you would not be VAT exempt and would have to pay the VAT inclusive price.
If you are unsure, please do call us on 0800 612 6394 and we'll be happy to help. Many thanks.

Question: I had a vaginal hysterectomy 3 months ago and now have another slight prolapse - would I safely be able to use this device, and would it make a difference?
Our Answer:

Hello, after any surgery we would recommend that you check with your doctor before starting to use a Pelvic Toner. We have been advised that Pelvic Toners can be used in cases where a prolapse has occurred, so long as the vagina can actually have the trainer inserted. However, as your operation was 3 months ago and you have had another slight prolapse we do strongly suggest you check with your GP first. Many thanks

Question: Hi i purchased the Pelvitone i am really happy although the concern i have is that it only feels like it is working on one side is this normal or am i using it wrong
Thanks
Our Answer:

Hi, it could be that the nerve endings on one side are more damaged than on the other - the muscles will, however, still be toned by the probe.
One other thing to check is that you are correctly positioning the probe - we recommend that you lean forward slightly so that the probe makes good contact with both sides, and that the two metal plates are positioned side-to-side (rather than being inserted with the plates top-to-bottom). If you have any further queries please do let us know. Many thanks.

Question: could the pelvertone help repair a prolaps
Our Answer:

The PelviTone (on programme 02) may well help with a prolapse. However, we cannot be sure and you should discuss directly with your GP or consultant. Thanks

Question: I had a Vaginal Hysterectomy a few years ago and have been told this has caused nerve damage and decreased blood flow, causing a lack of sensation, would the Pelvi tone be of any use to me
Our Answer:

The PelviTone (and any other pelvic floor exerciser) can improve vaginal embrace through increase in the pelvic floor muscle tone. However, I don't see how it could improve nerve damage though. Kind regards

Question: Hi, I suffer from stress incontinence and also weak vaginal embrace, so this machine sounds like it would be a good idea, but I wondered if there is a wireless version of this? I saw you do a wireless machine but that this was recomended over that, for the embrace bit - can you advise?
Our Answer:

Hi, for embrace I would say the PelviTone or the Discreet Stim. Both have programmes for overall vaginal embrace. Personally, I would say the PelviTone due to it's multiple programmes that deal effectively with both. Thanks

Question: Can the Pelvitone be used by men?
Our Answer:

It can - I assume this is for rectal use? In which case you would need a rectal probe instead of the supplied vaginal probe. Let me know if you wish to proceed with this and I will order a rectal probe in from the suppliers. Thanks

Question: Can you please tell me which is the best machine this or the Femme Elite 3 in 1 Tens machine. I need a pelvic toner as I suffer from stress and urge incontenence so which would be best for this?
Our Answer:

If you are after a device purely to deal with stress or urge incontinence then I would say the PelviTone. The reasons for this are mainly: 1) It has many programmes to choose from so you will find one that suits you and you can personalise your own programme. 2) It is only designed for this purpose which means if you suffer from stress or urge incontinence then you can claim the VAT exempt version that saves you money! As the Femme Elite is multi-use there is no VAT relief on that product.
If you want a product that can also act as a TENS machine then the Femme Elite is best as it does both. Thanks

Question: To be vat exempt it states that I need to suffer from stress or urge incontinence - I do suffer from this and have for years, but how do I prove that - will I need to get the form signed by my doctor?
Our Answer:

If you have suffered as you say then you simply select the VAT Exempt version of the product on our site. You will not be charged VAT and a form will be included with your order. You should then fill that form in and return it to us. The form is very simple and all you are doing is making a statement that you suffer from stress or urge incontinence and sign and return. There is NO need for a Doctors note/certificate/letter. Thanks

Question: How often can I use the toner? I have been using programme 8 and 9 in rotation, could I use one in the morning and one at night?
Our Answer:

Like any muscle the pelvic floor muscles should not be over worked. Programme 9 is a pelvic floor workout programme of 45 minutes so I think this should only be done once day. Thanks

Question: HI following the birth of my second child it appears i have a posterior prolapse, i was referred to physio who have advised me to keep doing pelvic floor exercises, which i have been doing and I have noticed a slight improvement. Would it be ok to use this product if you do have a prolapse or would it make the prolapse worse. When looking into this Iam aware you can use the Kegal 8 if you have a prolapse but there is no mention of it in relation to this product. If I can what setting would you reccommend ? Thanks
Our Answer:

You should be fine. the Kegel 8 is basically a branded version of the model DOWN from the PelviTone we sell. The Kegel 8 has less programmes for example. However, as we obviously don't know your full medical history I could only recommend you check with your physio. However, if the people who sell the Kegel8 say that the Kegel8 is suitable in your case then so is the PelviTone. Kind regards

Question: Hi i would be very interested to find out how these things actually work and how you would use them. I have had three rather large babies in the past 20yrs and know that i am not satisfying my partner, its all really emabarrasing even though he does not complain. i would like to feel sexually confident again about my body and love making
Our Answer:

Hi, they work a bit like those ab belts you can get from Slendertone in that it uses electro-stimulation to contract the pelvic muscles. This is basically the muscles that control the flow of urine or allow you to say, hold a pencil in your vagina - it's the same set of muscles - the same ones you use to grip your partner during intercourse. Channel 4's Embarassing Illnesses recently did a study on several and the one you have expressed in interest in (PelviTone) showed an increase of over 60% of the pelvic floor muscles in just 4 or 5 weeks of use. Many many people contact us to say how this has helped with either stress/urge incontinence AND their vaginal embrace with their partner. Really, stop worrying and feeling inadequate - you have no need! You can either purchase an electro stimulation version like this OR you can learn how to perform kegel exercises and use a device such as our manual pelvic toner. Personally, I use the PelviTone! If you want further advice just reply to this email. Kind regards

Question: I have just received my Neuro Trac PelviTone and am using for the Pelvic Floor Workout. What level should I be setting the milliamps at to begin with? I am unsure what I should be feeling. Thanks.
Our Answer:

Hi, the programme should be automatic to be honest. Can you not feel it yet? Oh, please visit http://helpdesk.peak-nutrition.co.uk to raise a support ticket instead of via product questions - it's easier for you and us that way. Thanks

Question: I HAVE 1 CHILD SOON TO BE 3YEARS BUT WHEN I HAVE SEX WITH MY PARTNER MY VIRGINA FEELS REALY OPEN TO THE POINT WHERE I CANT FEEL MY PARTNER PENIS CAN YOUR PRODUCT SOLVE MY PROBLEM
Our Answer:

Pelvic TOning can certainly help with your problem yes! The problem you have is called a "weak vaginal embrace" and this is normally resolved by carrying out pelvic toning exercises. If you increase these muscles you will be able to "grip" your partner far more easily improving things for both of you. I suggest either the PelviTone or ANY of our pelvic toners. The PelviTone has a specific programme for this though called "Lack of sensitivity". Really, it will work wonders but like going to the gym you have to stick at it. Use it as per the instructions - several times a week - and you will see and feel results in a few weeks! Good luck

Question: Hi, can you tell me the correct way to insert the probe? Should the two white ends be facing north-to-south when inserted, or east-to-west (i.e. towards the hip bones)?
Our Answer:

The metal parts of the probe should sit east-to-west so to speak. The probe should be inserted high enough so you can feel the pelvic floor muscles contract - everyone is different so we can't just say insert x amount of inches I'm afraid. Let me know if you need further guidance

Question: can you please tell me if it is normal for me to pass water more often when using this product on pg number 5 i used it for a while seemed ok but now it makes me go to the loo more please advise
Our Answer:

Our manufacturer has said that this can happen, but not very often. They also suggest that you may have a slight infection that could be causing this and to consult your doctor.

Question: HELLO,
IS THERE MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PELVITONE AND THE 'KEGEL 8 ULTRA'?.
HOW OFTEN ARE REPLACMENT PROBES REQUIRED, AND AVAILABILITY?.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
Our Answer:

No, the Kegel 8 is manufactured by same company - it's just branded for a particular company. THe PelviTone is cheaper of course! Replacement probes are not really required to be honest but you can purchase them from us. Thanks

Question: Hi, I emailed a while ago as I want to purchase one of these however, on researching on the internet I noticed there are many different versions. Please can you clarify the difference between the versions and confirm the version which you sell? Thanks
Our Answer:

Hi, if you mean the PelviTone there is really only 1 version and we sell it. If you mean pelvic toners in general then yes, there are many out there! If you want a wireless one we sell the AthenaFem, if you want a wired (cheaper one) then we sell the PelviTone and the Femetone - the PElviTone has more programmes and functionality than the Femetone - the Femetone is just plug in and turn on kind of thing. The PelviTone lets you choose which programme and control the strength etc. etc. Our bestseller! We also have the manual ones for kegel exercises that use resistance - you push your pelvic floor against the resistance. Take a look at www.pelvic-toners.co.uk - our sister site - it has a simple self answering questionnaire to help you choose - look to the left hand side for the question mark. Thanks

What customers are saying...

"I have tried a few different pelvic toners before I came across this one. It is just brilliant as I find it easy to use-no input required! I have just started using it after I had baby no.3 & my husband can't quite work out why everything feels so tight & I haven't enlightened him-I'll keep it my secret! It really feels like a proper workout-ther is no comparison to trying to do the exercises yourself."
