- Question: I have been taking Nouriken extra for 1yr and I am not sure if has made much improvement.I started losing my hair 20yrs ago is it wirth continuing
- Our Answer:
Hi, We always recommend sticking with a product rather than chopping and changing - a product can start to work later for some than others. It would be worth knowing what effects you have noticed as you mention it has not made "much improvement". It is also difficult to advise without knowing a bit more of your hair loss history, or if you suffer from any other conditions, such as stress etc. It may be worth giving us a call on 0800 612 6394 for some advice. However, if you feel that Nourkrin has not worked at all for you, then we do have other products that may be of benefit - have you looked at the Hairmax LaserCombs? Many thanks
- Question: Hi, If i buy 3 packs of the 3 months Nourkin extra strength tablets, what will be the office price?
Thanks
- Our Answer:
Hi, are you asking if we can offer a further discount? We already discount heavily on this product and make very little money on it to be honest. I could offer free next day delivery and I would give you 200 loyalty points for your next order with us (£5 worth). Thanks
- Question: can you take when pregnant
- Our Answer:
Hello, the manufacturers recommend that you do not take this product whilst pregnant or breastfeeding. Many thanks
- Question: I have taken 3 months of Nourkrin Extra Strength, will it be ok to take another 3months Extra Srength rather then the "Maintain".Is there any length of time to stop taking the Extra Strength?
- Our Answer:
You can change to maintain once you are happy with your results. However, with the price we have the Extra STrength on at right now I would continue to take that as it's cheaper than the Maintain! Thanks
- Question: I'm a 30 year old man. My hair has started to recede and is thining at the crown. I'm worried that I'll be completley thin on top in a few years time based on how my two older brothers have gone. Will taking nourkrin reverse the hair loss process or slow it down at all?
Will taking nourkrin while you still have have a fair amount of hair have any negative effects at all?
- Our Answer:
Hi, firstly, for a man, I think there maybe better products out there that are proven to work and while maybe more expensive in the initial purchase will save a lot of money over the months as you will have to keep purchase Nourkrin (maybe for months or years). Take a look at HairMax LaserComb
instead - it costs from £245 but will last you years and is clinically proven to combat and reverse hair loss in men upto Norwood Stage IV in men. If you really want to use Nourkrin I suggest Nourkrin Man though Nourkrin Extra is nearly the same (and cheaper). It could well help but Nourkrin is our number 1 best seller for women rather than men to be honest. Thanks
- Question: I suffer with underactive thyroid, would Nourkrin help, as I would not want to waste my money.
- Our Answer:
Nourkrin cannot help you with an underactive thyroid no. You may want to try Thyax for healthy Thyroid function available on this site. However, if you are asking whether Nourkrin can help with thinning hair or hair loss and whether having an underactive thyroid will effect it's results that's different. To be honest, having an underactive thyroid should not effect how well Nourkrin works for thinning hair and hair loss, no - it should work just fine. Thanks
- Question: when after 6 months i am satisfie with the results and i stop taking the product will my hairfall out or do i have to keep on taking this product?? email back
- Our Answer:
There is a chance that your hair fall would continue if you stopped treatment, yes. It all depends on the actual cause of your hair loss.
- Question: Im origanally from the UK but I live in Australia now and I have tried Nourkrin before when I was living in the UK a few years ago, now I want to try them again but I cant get them in Australia...what can I do?
- Our Answer:
This is tricky as Austrialian customs are notorious for stopping all packages that look like herbal supplements. All I can suggest is that you try and find a local supplier or contact the manufacturer in Norway to see if they have details of anyone who sells it over there. Alternatively, get a friend/family member to purchase from the UK and bring a years supply with them next time they visit!
Thanks
- Question: Whilst taking nourkrin is it necessary to take extra vitamins? Is this enough for the hair to regrow? Thanks
- Our Answer:
Not at all, no. Thanks
- Question: Hi,
Will Nourkin help with the natural growth of my hair - length wise? My hair just doesnt seem to grow at all and if it does its at a pace of snails!
- Our Answer:
Yes it will though it's an expensive option for that. Personally I would use Pilfood or HairVit as both are far cheaper and will help with growing healthier hair. Nourkrin is specifically tailored to people with thinning hair to be honest though it will still help of course. Thanks
- Question: what are the side effects please?
i've had a consultation by belgravia, they said i have stage 3 something, and need treatment, but it's £700 per year a few side effects, but they said it has Saw Palmetto in it which is why it works, but this is for male prostate right, i'm confused and worried dont want to be ripped off just want hair.....?
- Our Answer:
Hi, there is no real evidence that Saw Palmetto can help women at all so I don't know why they are suggesting that to be honest! Saw Palmetto has been shown to help block DHT in men, not women. It is also known to help with male prostate problems too, you are correct.
We have a sister site about hair loss - on this site there is a picture of the Ludvig Scale of Hair Loss for women. You can see the 3rd photo down on the left is stage III. There is also a stage I-3. Which one are you? You can see that here:
http://www.combat-hair-loss.co.uk/evaluate-your-hair-loss.php
If you are Stage III on the Ludvig scale then I don't think any kind of topical treatment will help that much except maybe Thymuskin.
If you are Stage I-3 then there are lots that can help that won't cost £700 a year.
There is the HairMax LaserComb (£320) and this is a once only purchase.
There is Nourkrin Extra Strength (will cost around £90 per 3 months)
There is also THymuskin Shampoo and Treatment (around £90 per 3 months)
If you want to discuss further please let me know by replying to this email.
- Question: My husband and I would like to try the same formula. Is it ok for a woman to use the man's extra strenght formula? Thanks.
- Our Answer:
We have Nourkrin Man and we have Nourkrin Extra Strength. If you both want to use just 1 product then I strongly suggest the Nourkrin Extra Strength for both of you. Also, it is the cheapest too due to our 3 for 2 offer with further discounts! Kind regards
- Question: I have thinning hair and was advised to take iron as it is low and this could be why my hair is thin. However can I take nourkrin to accelerate the growth and is it safe to take with the iron? Thanks
- Our Answer:
Yes it is, no problem at all. Thanks
- Question: I have been taking Nourkrin for 2 months now. I have noticed a difference in that my hair doesnt fall out in such quanties when i wash it. My hair does feel different but it appears to look almost greasy - is this normal? I have never suffered with greasy hair in the past.
- Our Answer:
You have been taking Nourkrin Extra Strength, yes? It shouldn't really make it greasy though it maybe shinier? Stick with it a little longer and see what happens. While it may look more greasy to you how does it feel? What shampoo are you using? You may want to try the Nourkrin Shampoo as well. Thanks
- Question: Hi, I am a 22 year old female with fine hair around my temples. This is due to hair braiding over the years. I have read up on Nourkrin and want to start the 6 month programme. I am however concerned that by taking Nourkin extra strength, will this increase facial hair growth or begin new facial hair growth?????
Look foward to your reply.
Many Thanks
H
- Our Answer:
Hi, it will NOT increase facial hair growth at all - guaranteed. No one has ever mentioned that as a side effect. It works on a totally different level to facial hair. don't worry - it will be fine! Thanks
- Question: Can I pay by cheque for the extra strength deal and if I buy 6month supply is there an extra discount please ? kind regards Jane.
- Our Answer:
Hi, yes you can pay by cheque - simply choose this option during checkout and your order will be placed - stock will be reserved for a week - and you will be given instructions on how and where to send a cheque. We offer free P&P for 6 months - we send Royal Mail Special Delivery but as we already discount HUGELY we can't offer a further discount for 6 months. Remember - you will also get £10 off your next order with loyalty points if you buy 6 months too! Thanks
- Question: Hi, if i take these tablets until i notice a difference and am happy with my hair, can i stop without it getting thinner again?
- Our Answer:
That is not likely to be honest. The causes of hair loss will no doubt return over time. That is why many people move onto the Nourkrin Maintain once they have achieved the desired results.
- Question: Can I take the two tablets together in the morning ,or do you have to take one in the morning and one in the evening after food?
Thanks
- Our Answer:
You can do, yes though if you feel any stomach discomfort then change back to the instructions. Thanks
- Question: Do you have to have a laser treatment with Nourkrim Extra tablets for just taking the tablets if good enough.
- Our Answer:
Hi, just taking Nourkrin is good enough for most people treating thinning hair or mild hair loss. MAny though do opt to use other treatments at the same time - including HairMax LaserComb. Thanks
- Question: Nourkrin used to have IgG in it -some sites say this is an important part of it. I have just got some Nourkrin from you and it's not on the ingredients list anymore - why is this?
- Our Answer:
The Colustrum Concentrate (IgG protein), was in the product as part of the coating, with the purpose of make the digestion of the tablet better. Following the refining and concentration process for the marine extract having taken place, the ingredient is no longer needed so we took it out. Taking the IgG out of the coating has got no influence on the efficacy or tolerability of the products. If any site tries to make it a 'selling point' they are not telling the truth! Thanks
- Question: I don't suffer from hair loss but my hair has been damaged through hair straightners and colouring, so it's v fine and brittle and has stopped growing.
By using Nourkrin Extra Strenght will this help my problem. Thanks.
- Our Answer:
Yes it will - very much a possibility. However, so would pilfood too to be honest and it's cheaper. If you are looking for a hair treatment that will help thinning hair or hair loss then Nourkrin is probably the better purely based on sales and repeat customers. However, I think Pilfood is excellent and it has an extremely loyal following. Thanks
- Question: Even though I am a woman my hair is receding dramatically at the temples.I have an underactive thyroid and take 100 mcg of thyroxine. I also take a vitamin and mineral tablet, antioxidants,Omega 3:6:7:9. and Vitamin C and D tablets. Would I be overdoing the supplements by taking Nourkrin also. I have M.S. too so have to be extra careful.
- Our Answer:
Hi, as you have MS I would always recommend you check before adding in any supplements. However, it sounds like you are very well supplemented. Nourkrin would add in their patented marine compound to this mix that is shown to improve the quality of the hair. You should be OK but it's always best to check first when you are on existing medication. If you are allergic or sensitive to shellfish or seafood I would avoid Nourkrin - if not you should be fine. Many thanks
- Question: DID I SEE IT SOMEWHERE THAT NOURKIRIN CONTAINS GLUCOSOMINE?
I ALREADY TAKE 1500 FOR ARTHURITUS.
- Our Answer:
No it doesn't, thanks. It contains, Nourkrin extract protein compound of marine origin: 300mg, Acerola Cherry Extract: (Vitamin C 30mg: 50% RDA) 100mg, Silica Kieselguhr: 30mg
Horsetail Extract: 25mg, IgG protein: 1mg
- Question: Can you tell me if this is safe take Nourkrin while having Chemotherapy or when its finished.
Thank you
- Our Answer:
Yes it is I though I would always check with my health care professional. You may wish to consider Thymuskin as that range was originally developed with those who are going through Chemotherapy in mind. Kind regards
- Question: I take thyroxin 75 mg and simvastatin 40 mg can I take Nourkrin or should I take PillFood Hair supplement ( I don't know what is this)
- Our Answer:
Nourkrin or Pilfood should be fine. However, as you are taking a prescription drug you should always discuss with your GP before taking ANY supplement - whatever it is. Kind regards
- Question: Can Nourkin cause weight increase?
- Our Answer:
No, Nourkrin Extra Strength cannot cause weight gain. Thanks
- Question: please could you tell me if the marine life used in this product have died of natural causes, or are marine life specifically caught for the intention of producing nourkrin
Thank You,
Michelle.
- Our Answer:
I am asking the manufacturers to state exactly how the marine extract in Nourkrin is manufactured. I am sure it is NOT from natural causes as this could be due to disease or any number of things and no one wants to take something into their system unless they know it's safe. I think it's a by product of food production but I am waiting to hear and will update this as soon as I know. Thanks
- Question: My daughter pulled her hair for several years. Although she has stopped for over a year the hair is very slow to grow back on the crown of her head. Would Nourkrin help? Thanks.
- Our Answer:
It will certainly help grow healthy hair, yes.
- Question: i have been taking nourkrin tablets for a year now 2 a day.have a seen a difference but still have patches of thining hair will this impove if i keep taking them ,
- Our Answer:
It should do - if you have seen improvements they should hopefully continue. However, you may wish to add something else into your hair loss regimen such as the Nourkrin Scalp Lotion. Alternatively, we have just had 2 great customer testimonials in on our HairMax LaserComb - you can find that product here:
http://www.peak-nutrition.co.uk/about-hairmax+lasercomb.php
Kind regards
- Question: Can you tell me if it's safe to use with chemotherapy my hair has started to grow now or should i wait til after the chemotherapy treatment.
Many thanks
- Our Answer:
Definitely safe yes. Many thanks
- Question: A friend recently told me about Nourkin after successfully using it herself.
I am a pensioner now and have had a thyroid condition for over 20 years. My hair is very fine a my crown hair thin. I began taking Nourkin extra strenth 6 weeks ago and take two a day. Is there any additional advice you can give me?
- Our Answer:
Hi, not really - stick with it - keep away from harsh chemicals in your hair and from straighteners etc if you can. It can take some time to work so please be patient with it.
- Question: does colouring my hair interfere with the treatment? i've heard that bleaching increases volume. I'm 6 wks into the treatment.
- Our Answer:
Hi, colouring your hair is not good for your hair if you do it too often and use a strong bleaching agent. Talk about this with your hair dresser/stylist as they may well be able to suggest a less abrasive product. Nourkrin will certainly help with the condition of your hair but strong hair colouring may well negate this to some degree. Bleaching does not increase the volume of hair to be honest though it may appear thicker as it makes your hair drier and more 'frizzy'. If you are after volume you may want to use Nourkrin along side Nanogen Nanothik which is also available on this site. Kind regards
- Question: what is nourkrin made of?
- Our Answer:
Nourkrin tablets are a natural food supplement made from a compound of marine polysaccharides, silica and vitamin C. In the correct dosage these compounds help to nourish dormant or weakly growing hair follicles.
A single Nourkrin Extra Strength tablet contains:
Extract Compound of Marine Origin (Shark cartilage and other shellfish) (300mg), Acerola Cherry Extract (Vitamin C 30mg) (100mg), Silica Kieselguhr (special soluble naturally occurring silica) (30mg), Horsetail extract (25mg), Immunoglobulin G (IgG) Protein (1mg), Microcrystaline Cellulose (40mg), Magnesium Stearate (5mg), Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Fatty acids
- Question: I have high cholesterol. Would this product affect this in anyway?
- Our Answer:
NO, not at all, thanks.
- Question: is your offer 3packets for the price of 2 or 1 packet but 3 times the stregnth
- Our Answer:
Hi, it's a special promo pack that contains 3 month supply for the price of 2 month supply. It's the same Extra Strength as, well, the Extra Strength single month pack but at the price of 2 for a 3 months supply. Also, it is, in reality, cheaper than a 2 month supply as we discount further - best price ont he web for Nourkrin Extra Strength AND if you register during checkout you get loyalty points that mean your next order from us gives you a 5 GBP discount too!
- Question: The products arrived in the post today. Thanks for a speedy efficient service! I am wondering how often I should use the Shampoo and Scalp Lotion? Thanks.
- Our Answer:
Hi, you can use every day though most people tend to use every other day. THanks
- Question: Hi, I'm a 29 year old female suffering from excessive hair loss. I can feel my hair getting thinner so I've started to take Nourkrin but am afraid it may cause unwanted hair elsewhere, particularly facial hair? Can this happen? I can't see how it can just increase hair growth on the scalp and not affect other hair on the body?I have fine downy hair growth on the sides of my face and chin/neck will it affect these?
Thanks
- Our Answer:
Hi, no it will not increase hair growth elsewhere. THe reason it can't do this is that the way Nourkrin works is to help reduce the the problems that cause the thinning hair in the first place so your hair grows naturally. It does this rather than try and start hair growth where it shouldn't. I hope this helps?
- Question: Hi, I have some tablets but they have passed their best before date. Would it be ok to continue to use them.
- Our Answer:
I hope you haven't purchased them from us? Personally I wouldn't take anything past its sell by date to be honest. Sorry.
- Question: I have scalp issues and was wondering if nourkrin will also address this. Thanks
- Our Answer:
No, probably not to be honest. If you scalp issues you should first check with your GP to rule out fungal infection (which can be treated by them). Once that's ruled out I would suggest Thymuskin Med Shampoo and Thymuskin Med Gel available from our sister site www.combat-hair-loss.co.uk
Thanks
- Question: regarding my question about how I took nourkrin for 6 months and did not see a difference, my problem is I have thinning hair. Thanks
- Our Answer:
Nourkrin is great for thinning hair but it can take a while to work - give it another 6-9 months and if that doesn't work I would suggest something a little more direct like Thymuskin of the HairMax LaserComb. Thanks
- Question: I had been taking nourkrin for 6 months about 2 years ago and didnt see any diffence in my hair. Does this mean that it is not for me or was 6 months not enough for me to see a difference because I have had my hairloss for over 10 years. Thanks
- Our Answer:
This is quite difficult to say - 6 months is really only the least amount of time most people need to see a difference with any hair loss product. Most products take 6 to 12 months though some improvement in quality of hair maybe seen. Do you suffer from hair loss or 'just' thinning hair?
- Question: I suffer from psoriasis and take thyroxien (100mg) a day would Nourkrin have any side effects for this?
- Our Answer:
It should be fine but as usual we have to say that when you are taking any prescription medicine you should check with your GP first before taking a supplement. Thanks
- Question: when taking nourkrin and if one does not see results when should they give up?
Thanks
- Our Answer:
No, hair loss/thinning hair would probably return. Once you have results for a couple of months or so you can start taking Nourkrin Maintain to maintain your results. I'm afraid hair loss is one of those things that can be stopped and even reversed but rarely cured insomuch that continual maintenance is nearly always required. Thanks
- Question: Hi, I am interested in ordering the 2 for 3 month offer of nourkrin extra strength tabets. Could you tell me if there is much if any difference between viviscal and nourkrin? can't seem to find out by googling. To be honest, I have never ordered products like this from the internet and am a bit nervous in doing so, especially as £83 plus P and P. Your prices were the same as one more company on the net, but yours site appealed to me more, honest looking, local phone rates and the points system. I believe you also have an office in Northwich not far from me (just south of Congleton area). Seen a few questions about women taking the noukrin man tablets, what are your thoughts on this? My consultant recommended Minoxidil originally but the 5% men's strength as he thought more success was to be had with the stronger one, I decided I did not like the idea of putting the strong chemicals on my head twice a day so am opting for Noukrin. Do you think I would need the mens tabs? Or would I be okay with the normal extra strength? In addition, I understand about the 'maintain noukrin tablets' but does this mean that after 6 months of regular noukrin tablet you need to take the maintain noukrin for ever more? Is there ever a time where Nourkrin think you can stop taking altogether? or is it like minoxidil, if you don't take? apply soloution/tabs you either lose the hair you've gained or just stop recieving any benefit. I've seen it mentioned alot that after the 6 months you can go to one 'maintain tablet' but nowhere does it ever say for how long?
Perhaps you could advise me of the procedure of paying by debit card at your site, as have no pay pal system set up, also a bit of reassurance in buying this way, don't want to lose what bit of hair I have left through fretting about actually buying the product! Many thanks,
- Our Answer:
Hi, Viviscal is a fairly new product brought out by the original importers of Nourkrin into the UK - hence why they competitively advertise against Nourkrin. We have decided not to take Viviscal on as yet as there is no firm data of it's effectiveness. Nourkrin Extra Strength is the best one for women without a doubt to be honest - the Nourkrin Man has extra ingredients aimed at men to reduce their levels of DHT production.
Thanks for the comments about our site - Peak Nutrition have been in business for several years and have over 100,000 customers to date. Our site is scanned daily by McAfee to ensure it's secure and we are also members of SafeBuy and 'Internet Shopping Is Safe' - also known as IMRG - both these organisations ensure we meet their strict guidelines for privacy, delivery, security and returns procedures.
You can order over the phone if you'd rather not enter your details on the internet but please be assured that in many respects entering card details online with us is more secure than over a phone! We use military grade 256 bit encryption AND we don't store your card details, so this means no one in our oganistation ever gets to see them.
In regards for minoxidil for women - I am always slightly wary about this as minoxidil can cause foetal harm for women so if you could get pregnant it's a definite no no to use.
Finally, in regards to Nourkrin maintain - this product is usually take to maintain the hair growth achieved and yes, you are right - if you stop taking ANY hair loss product there is a good chance that the hair gain will be lost and hair loss will start again after some time UNLESS the hair loss was caused purely by a hormonal imbalance that has since been corrected. Most people find that using the Nourkrin Extra Strength for 3-9 months does the job and they then go onto the Maintain.
We do have the cheapest nourkrin prices in the UK right now and we can do this as we are one of the largest resellers of this product - our margins are very tight but we sell a lot of it.
If you have any more questions please reply to this email
Best regards
- Question: Is Nourkrin extra strength in capsule form . I am a vegetarian ( but do eat seafood) but would not like to take capsules as they contain animal products
- Our Answer:
Hi, they are in tablet form, not capsules. Many thanks
- Question: As a man should i ues nourkin for men or will it be ok to carry on useing nourkin extra strenght
- Our Answer:
You can use either - if you are using the Extra Strength and are happy with it keep on using it. However, the Nourkrin for Men does have an extra ingredient or two just for me that helps block DHT. Thanks
- Question: How many months should I use Nourkrin Extra Strength before going on to Maintain. I used Extra Strength before with success, could not afford to continue and my hair thinned again. Now I want to start again after a two month break - should I order 3 months Extra Strength or Maintain?
- Our Answer:
Hi, the extra strength definitely - we have a great offer on now as well for £83 for 3 month supply though.
- Question: does nourkrin aid weak brittle hair due to an under active thyroid gland?
- Our Answer:
It may well do but for that kind of thing I would recommend PilFood Hair Supplement instead - available on this site - a lot cheaper and at problems just like that. Thanks
- Question: Is it posible to use Minoxodil solution on my hair at the same time as taking Nourkrin or should I just take the tablets?
- Our Answer:
That is fine yes
- Question: Hi, I have been losing lots of hair for a while now especially from the front and I was wondering which tablets is stronger Extra Strengths or Nourkrin Man? As my hair specialist recommend I use Nourkrin man.
- Our Answer:
Hi, I would say use the Nourkrin Man as it has a couple of extra ingredients aimed just at men - the rest of the formula is as strong as Nourkrin Extra Strength. Thanks
- Question: I was just wondering if it is ok to take Nourkrin if you dont have a major hair loss problem. I have naturally fine hair and I just want to improve on its thickness. Would it still be ok to use?
- Our Answer:
Oh yes, definitely, it is excellent for that use without a doubt. Thanks
- Question: i suffer from female hair loss due to dht impairing the follicles. therefore can i take the nourkrin male pills to stop the dht ? women get it too so i do not understand why your extra strength pills dont contain fenugreek.
- Our Answer:
Hi, I believe the fenugreek only blocks DHT for me rather than women. The Nourkrin Extra Strength formula also helps block DHT for women too. THanks.
- Question: do you deliver to Australia? If, yes, what is the cost?
- Our Answer:
I'm afraid not, no. Sorry
