Hello, 3 beeps (usually accompanied by 3 LEDs blinking) indicates that the battery (a CR2) is getting low, and may need to be changed. If it is an intemittent 3-beep signal, it is worth checking that the battery is inserted fully and tightly in the device. Many thanks

Hello, removing and replacing the battery is quite simple - when you know how!
1. To open the battery compartment, click the bottom of the unit round anti clockwise (it's about a quarter-turn)
2. Shake the battery loose (it fits snugly so a good, vigorous shake will help it slip out)
3. Replace battery
4. When replacing the battery lid, make sure that the two marks align

Hello, yes, the Herpotherm (Hot Kiss) can be used on the end of your nose (or in the fold of the nose where they can sometimes appear) - just be aware that you may end up with a red nose for a bit! Remember that ideally you need to be using the Herpotherm as soon as indications appear, rather than once they have developed. Many thanks

If this is the same virus (sounds like it!) as the coldsores you get on your face then YES, it will definitely help. Catch them early enough and there is a very strong chance they will not develop into cold sores at all. You may need to blast the cold sore 2 or 3 times a day for a couple of days but most users report pretty much 100% success rate controlling cold sores.

It can certainly speed up recovery. My wife uses it a lot and 99% of the time she catches them before they develop. Instead of having them every month she has only had 1 in the past 5 months and that's because we were away and she had left her HerpoTherm at home. She got back and started using it after it had developed and she got rid of it in 2 days - much better than the usual week!

You can repeat a few times a day, yes. I would use it 2 or 3 times a day until the 'tingling' of the cold-sore-to-be has gone away. It may take a couple of days. For me, normally 2 or 3 applications is enough to stop it in it's tracks!

Yes it can, definitely. It can be used wherever you get cold sores though how sensitive certain parts of the body are to heat may determine whether it is comfortable enough to use.
