Brightspark is a sleek lightbox that's certified to the Medical Device directive and delivers the industry standard 10,000lux at a very reasonable 20cm.
Bright light is proven to be an effective treatment for SAD and using Brightspark every day over the autumn and winter will make a big difference to symptoms such as tiredness, over-eating and a lack of energy and motivation.
Brightspark's slim design, brushed aluminium finish and small footprint makes it ideal for use at work or home (Note: new-look Brightspark is charcoal-grey, as shown in the main photo, not blue). Plus it provides high-contrast light making it great for reading.
Recommended treatment time is 45 - 90 minutes. There's no harm in having Brightspark switched on all day; alternatively, if you're away from your desk you can make up your recommended session by dipping in throughout the day.
Just as sunlight naturally makes you feel good, getting extra bright light when you're stuck indoors is proven to put you in a better mood, boost alertness and help you to feel more awake.
We recommend that you replace the 2 x 24W bulbs every two years to maintain effective light output.
