About Absolute Aromas Camphor
Camphor Oil is sourced from China and has a sharp, pungent smell. The oil is a pale yellow in colour.
Camphor has traditionally been used in mothballs and you can make your own by adding 10 drops White Camphor to a cotton wool ball and leaving these in your cupboards, drawers and chests. You should ensure that they are kept well out of the reach of pets and children.
To ward off mosquitoes and other flying pests, add 5 drops Camphor Oil to a burner.
There are three types of Camphor Oil which are extracted from the steam distillation of the wood, root stumps and branches of the tree - only White Camphor, such as this from Absolute Aromas, is safe for home aromatherapy use. White Camphor should still be used with caution and in moderation.
