About Absolute Aromas Basil
Basil Oil is sourced from Egypt and has a clear, sweet, spicy smell. The oil is a pale yellow in colour.
Basil is a stimulating oil which is useful when you require concentration or a bit of a pick-me-up.
Using 1 drop of Basil with 3 drops of Lemon in an oil burner makes for a revitalising atmosphere when you need mental acuity.
Absolute Aromas Basil Oil is "True Sweet Basil Oil" (Ocimum Basilicum) which is also known as the Linalol type. With its low levels of Estragole (thought to be irritating to the skin in high quantities), this Basil Oil is best suited for aromatherapy purposes.
Traditionally, Basil has been referred to by the Greeks as "Joy of the Mountains" where the plant is used in cooking and as a medical herb.
