Hello, with any known existing medical condition, we can only advise that you speak to your GP or doctor for their specialist advice. Many thanks
- Question: Hi,
I'm 22 and has been using Nourkrin extra strength for about 2 months now, and I do see some encouraging results. However, I feel that hair are coming out faster around my left temple. There are more whisky, baby hair on that side compared with my right temple. I started using Nourkrin because I often chemically process my hair, which made it prone to breaking, thinning out. Would it be okay to temporarily increase the daily dosage to 3, instead of 2 so that hair on both sides balance out? ps: I'm not over 80, nor a smoker and is under 60 ;P
Regards,
- Our Answer:
Hello, we would not normally advise increasing the dosage unless you were a smoker or over a certain age - however, if you have been damaging your hair for a long time then it may be worth increasing the dosage for a short time. Many thanks
- Question: Hi im wondering if you can take nourkin extra stregnth diring pregnancy?
- Our Answer:
Hello, Nourkrin is not recommended for use whilst pregnant. Many thanks
- Question: I am 22 and considering using the full treament for 6 months, however before doing so I would like to know after 6 months of using the full treatment (tablets, shampoo and lotion) if I discontinued use would the hair remain to the new thickness achieved along with the new hair growth staying or would that jeopordise this?
- Our Answer:
Hello, as with any healthy hair supplement, best results are obtained by using the product on an ongoing basis. We recommend that Nourkrin Extra Strength is taken at the dose of 2 tablets per day for the first six months, and then a maintenance dose of 1 tablet a day is taken after that. Many thanks
- Question: hi i am currently taking nourkrin can i take more than the recommended 6months supply or will this harm me thank you
- Our Answer:
Hello, the manufacturers recommend that you use Extra Strength for 6 months as directed, and at the end of the 6 month hair recovery programme, or once you are satisfied with the results, recommend you continue taking one tablet daily to maintain the improvements. Mnay thanks
- Question: Hi,
I wanted to ask if Nourkrin is safe to take while trying to conceive and if it would have any effect on fertility, egg quality or indeed if it would be ok to take during pregnancy? Thanks.
- Our Answer:
Hello, the manufacturers recommend that you do NOT take this product whilst pregnant or whilst breastfeeding. Many thanks
- Question: Hi
I have had thinning hair for a number of years but have noticed a worsening this year. The thinning is worse over the top and crown and others notice it too. I am a 49 year old female. I have taken Nourkrin Extra Strength for about 10 weeks and have not seen a diffeernce yyet. The doctor has done blood tests but found nothing apart from slightly low iron. Iron levels have previously been ok but the hair has been thinning for years so I don't think iron is the problem. Do you think Nourkrin may still be able to help ? Just a bit more info to add to my last question. For about a year my scalp has been sore, like when you have a fever. This becomes quite painful at certain times of the month. . I am also menopausal. Doctor says scalp looks healthy. Thanks for your helpThanks
- Our Answer:
Hi, Nourkrin should still be able to help - 10 weeks is quite early in the treatement so we would say stick with it for at least 3 months, and preferably 6.
In relation to your sore scalp, it may be worth trying the Dead Sea Magik Conditioning Scalp Mud, which helps alleviate dry, sore scalps, and can be used alongside your Nourkrin treatment. Alternatively, you could try changing your treatment to Thymuskin Med Gel - which is ideal for those with hair loss who also have sore, irritated scalps. Many thanks.
- Question: can you take these tablet if you have an under- active thyriod gland.thank you
- Our Answer:
Hello, You should be fine as I can't see how Nourkrin would interact with your condition. However, as is always the case when someone takes any prescription drug or has a pre-exisitng medical condition, you should always check with your GP before taking any supplement. Thanks
- Question: would u recommed this product over spectral dnc l???
- Our Answer:
Not for a man, no. I would recommend, for a man, Spectral DNC/L, Procerin or Revivogen. There is, of course, the HairMax LaserComb which is great too. Thanks
- Question: I am a 27 year old man and struggling with hair loss issues. Though i really want to use Nourkrin for man, but i am scared that it might effect my sex life (as in erection problems, impotence etc) due to DHT blocker ingridents in it.
Or will i be better of if i only use Nourkrin extra strength?
Please Suggest?
- Our Answer:
As per the previous Q&A on this product please don't be worried - Nourkrin for Man, or ANY of the hair loss products on our site, can NOT effect your libido. Kind regards
- Question: would nourkrin help all types of hair thinning even due to low iron? And also how does the ingredients have an affect on DHT? Thank-you.
- Our Answer:
Nourkrin may well help with many hair loss types including thinning hair. However, if your thinning hair is primarily due to low iron levels then surely a cheaper way to treat this is to take an iron supplement? The male version of Nourkrin has a DHT blocker, yes. Thanks
- Question: Hi there
Would you be able to tell me whether NOURKRIN affects the contraceptive pill in any way?
- Our Answer:
No, it doesn't effect it at all. Thanks
- Question: Is it ok to take Pilfood and Nourkrin Extra Strenght together.
Thanks
- Our Answer:
Oh yes - many people do actually as Pilfood is so good for nails and skin too. Thanks
- Question: could i take nourkrin, i suffer from underactive thyroide and i take thyroxine treatment
- Our Answer:
You should be fine as I can't see how Nourkrin would interact with that drug or your condition. However, as is always the case when someone takes a prescription drug you should check with your GP before taking any supplement. Thanks
- Question: my mother is 82. she is impressed by the effect of Nourkrin on my hair. She wishes to improve the condition of hers as it is very thin. She takes Glucosamine and cod liver oil for her arthritic joints. She is worried that Nourkrin also contains glucosamine and she may be overdosing if she continues to take her existing dose of glucosamine for her joints and also takes nourkrin. What do you advise?
- Our Answer:
There is a tiny amount of Glucosamine in Nourkrin so she will be fine, yes. Thanks
- Question: i have been taking nourkrin extra strength for 6 months. 3 tablets per day as i am over 60. could i continue to use the extra strength tablets,or start taking the maintain tablets. regrds june dunn
- Our Answer:
I would continue with the extra strength version unless you are happy with the progress you have made and just wish to maintain your hair as it is. If you would still like to see improvement then continue with the Extra Strength. Kind regards
- Question: i cannot believe the dramatic effect the nourkrin extra strength has had on my hair after 3 months. I started taking it open minded, but tending to the sceptic, being married to a medical person in 'drugs' who thinks vitamin supps are not needed, and I am now totally convinced it works , for me anyway. The Glucosamine within the nourkrin product is also recommended for joints as we age... whats the recommendations should I get creaky joints and want to take a specific glucosamine supplement for my joints?. Also, what is a complementary supplement for my skin. I dont want to cause an interaction or double -up of supplements I dont need. Thanking you.
- Our Answer:
Hi. Thanks for your positive feedback. Is there any chance that you could write a review for us? For the Glucosamine, we sell both Glucosamine Sulphate and Glocosamine Chondroitin with a Vitamin C combination. Both can be found on our site. For skin care, I would recommend Nourella Delay Tatics supplement by the makers of Nourkrin. You can find out more information here:- http://www.peak-nutrition.co.uk/search.php. Many thanks.
- Question: I have put an order in for Nourkrin Extra Strenght. Was wondering can I take Slica OK as well as the Nourkrin. I heard that the Slica OK was good for growing hair.
I am getting married in 5 months time and my hair is in v bad condition eg dry, brittle, thin etc and want it back in good condition for my wedding. By using the two products together will I get more benefit out of it.
Should I also use the Nourkrin shampoo or is taking the tablets enough. Thanks
- Our Answer:
Hi, I like the Nourkrin Shampoo actually and it's a good one. Cheap high street shampoos can really strip your hair so I don't recommend them to be honest. As for Silica - yes it's a good supplement for healthy hair promotion. You may want to consider Pilfood instead as a way to supplement Nourkrin. It's a great product. Kind regards
- Question: I don't have a problem with thinning hair, my hair is naturally cury thick coarse and dry! Will this product make my hair texture any better and grow at a faster rate?
- Our Answer:
Hi, Nourkrin Extra Strength is aimed at people with thinning hair. If you want a supplement to improve the condition of your hair I would suggest Pilfood, also available on our site. Kind regards
- Question: I am 25 years old and had really thick hair until I was about 17 and now it is really thin around the hairline at the front and around my crown, will Nourkin work for me?
- Our Answer:
It could well help yes. However, there is likely a reason for your hair loss at such an age - normally hormonal or maybe a side effect of a prescription drug like the contraceptive pill. It would be a good idea to get checked out by your GP to check Thyroid levels for example - another cause of hair loss in young women. If all of these are negative then yes, Nourkrin could well help you. Kind regards
- Question: Hi - I'm taking 2 x Ferrograd C pills per day These are iron pills with 250mg ferrous sulphate/pill - I think!. Is it OK to carry on with the iron and Nourkrin at the same time - would either have any detrimental affect on the other?Kind regards,
Sophie
- Our Answer:
Hi, it should be fine since Nourkrin does not contain the same ingredients - however, if your pills are prescription then you should check with your GP to be on the safe side. Thanks
- Question: Will this product have adverse effects in increasing body hair?
- Our Answer:
Not at all, no. Nourkrin does not create additional body hair - just combat the problems of thinning hair and hair loss on the head. Thanks
- Question: i need to know just how long it will take to reach me...i live in the usa ...in hopewell virginia...23860... please reply asap.......i want this order yesterday.......one other thing...is this the same as viviscal???
- Our Answer:
Hi, we don't ship to the USA I'm afraid normally though if you want to we can do this - however it takes 10-14 days and there maybe duty'taxes to pay locally once it arrives in the US - we can't control this. If you order lots of it (say £250 +) then we will send UPS on a 2 or 3 days service.
It is NOT the same as Viviscal - they basically copied the original formula and there is a large law suit right now going on I believe so we can't comment further on that. Thanks
- Question: I have been taking nourkrin man for two months now and my hair does feel stronger but there seems to be no thickness appearing on the fringe/ forehead area. Would nourkrin extra strengh be a better product to take instead of the nourkrin man? would it do any harm if I change from nourkrin man to extra strengh even though I have been using it for 2 months and just started my third month?
- Our Answer:
Hi, stick with Nourkrin Man - it's the same as Extra Strength but has a couple more ingredients suitable for men to help combat DHT. Give it another month or two and if you are not happy with the results contact us and we can help suggest a topical treatment to add to your hair loss regimen. Thanks
- Question: i find it hard to swalow tablet, would i be able to eat nourkrin tablets with my food or wouldthis have no effect?
- Our Answer:
Yes you can do that no problem. Thanks
- Question: Can I take NOURKRIN with Thyroxine tablets, I take 150mg per day after having Thyroid cancer ????? please advise
- Our Answer:
I am sure it is totally safe to take Nourkrin (I assume you mean the tablets and not the shampoos?) whilst on Thyroxine. However, as is the case with all supplements it is always best to consult with a GP to be on the safe side when you are taking prescription medicine or are suffering from an existing medical condition. Many thanks and good luck!
- Question: I have been using Propecia for last 6 months and have not seen any improvement, in fact have lost more hair. Now I bought this product (Nourkrin) to try. I have the following question which would appriciate if you could answer them .
1. Is it OK for me to take this with Propecia?
2. I'm over 80 Kg , should I take three tablets or 2 a day?
3. Taking this product, would it effect other part of my body to grow new hair or just my scalp?
I would be very greatful if you could get back to me as soon as possible. Many thanks
- Our Answer:
Hi, firstly you need to give Propecia more time to work - 6 months is the absolute minimum you can give any hair loss product to start working effectively. Propecia is effective for around 60-70% of men in arresting hair loss.
Onto your questions:
1) Yes, you can take with Propecia
2) Yes, 3 daily if you are over 80kg, are a heavy smoker or are over 60
3) No, it should not make hair grow on any other part of your body.
Many thanks
