Ask a Question

Question: is it safe to take 50mg a day of this?
Our Answer:

Directions for use are 1 tablet a day giving 25mg in total. However, there have been no indications that doubling this is dangerous. However, excessive amounts of Zinc have been shown to cause nausea. If in any doubt please consult with your doctor. Thanks

Question: I am a 43yrs old women ,i'm not taking any kind of vitamins at the moment, but i have noticed just of late my hair feeling a lot finer, and not as volumised with curls as it used to be, my mother suffered with Alopecia when she was in her mid 20s, and it has always been in the back of my mind that it could happen to me, is it worth taking some Vit B complex and Zinc, what would you suggest?
Our Answer:

Hi, personally, I would recommend Nourkrin Extra Strength for you (available on this site) as it's formulated for just this kind of issue. Many thanks

Question: I am taking a multivitamin with 14mg of iron everyday and want to introduce zinc 14mg everyday because I dont eat enough zinc containing foods, so is o.k to for long-term use? Thanks
Our Answer:

Personally I wouldn't take iron and zinc at the same time as there are a few reports that there is an interaction between the two when the iron intake is high. Mainly it is thought by some nutritionists that combining the 2 can reduce the effectiveness of both. There have also been a couple of reports that suggest an effect on hemoglobin concentrations. When iron and zinc are taken in food there is no interaction. So, in response I would seek a professional nutritionist advice on this. Thanks

Question: Is taking the 12/14 mg of zinc daily safe or will it interfere with the other vitamins? Thanks
Our Answer:

It is safe but it depends on what other vits you are taking - you don't want to take too much of course. Thanks
