About Orthomol Immun
Orthomol Immun provides a combination of vitamins, trace elements and phytonutrients required by the immune system, and may be particularly beneficial for those convalescing after operations, after chemotherapy and radiation therapy, or for those who have suffered an acute or chronic infection or who suffer from an acute illness, such as asthma.

Why Do I Need Orthomol Immun?
In our day to day lives, our immune system comes under a barrage of abuse and must meet many demands. The immune system is a network of organs and cells and is the protector of our health. It is the body's most important barrier against infections, bacteria, toxins and other external and internal stresses.
At birth, our immune system is working, but in a very limited way. As we get older, our immunity develops and becomes stronger and stronger. Few of us realise that our immune system is always at war with invaders - it is ready, at any time, to fight undesirable intruders meaning we can eat an apple picked straight from a tree, or shake hands with a stranger without worrying that we may be making ourselves susceptible to infection or disease.
The immune system is not one single organ like the heart or liver, but a highly specialised and sensitive network distributed throughout the body. It includes the bone marrow, the spleen, tonsils, the lymph glands, thymus, white blood cells and hormones. Believe it or not, the gut also plays a major role in the immune system - and is considered the largest component with a surface area of around 400 m2.
From time to time, our immune system can become compromised - during a chronic or acute infection such as diseases of the respiratory system, an allergic reaction, otitis media in children, IBS, and also when undergoing chemo- or radiation therapy.
For optimum immune health, we should look to a healthy diet, plenty of outdoors exercise and good nights' sleep.

Directions for Use
Dissolve the contents of one packet (=daily serving) in approximately 100-150ml non-carbonated water or fruit juice every day and take it with or after a meal.

Important Notes
Use Orthomol Immun only with careful metabolism control in the case of disturbances of glucose tolerance. If you suffer from a hyperfunction of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) please consult your doctor prior to taking Orthomol Immun.
Alternatively, it may be advisable to choose Orthomol Immun as tablets/capsules with a separate iodine tablet.
Orthomol Immun does not substitute any medical or drug treatment.
