Hello, it is not vital that the teeth of the LaserComb touch the scalp - they are designed to part the hair to allow the lasers to reach the scalp. The teeth themselves do not perform treatment, but allow the Lasers to work on your scalp. Therefore you do not need the teeth to be on the scalp at every point of the treatment.

We'd recommend only passing over the scalp once - the whole treatment should last about 8 minutes with the Pro 12. Many thanks

Yes it certainly would! However, in order to set realistic expectations we tend to advise that you can expect re-growth to give you the kind of hair that you had 5 years ago. Some people see better results that this of course. However, if the area you are treating is smooth and there has been no hair growth there for 5 years or more it is highly unlikely to grow back, though not impossible. THanks

Hello, the main difference between the Lux 9 and Pro 12 LaserCombs is to do with the number of lasers, which reduces the amount of time required per treatment (from 11 minutes to about 8). The LaserComb should be used in accordance with the manufacturers instructions - for best results use 3 times a week with rest periods in between sessions. The scalp needs the rest period to help promote a healthy scalp as an important part of treatment. Using the LaserComb every day will NOT improve the results. Many thanks

Hello, the LaserComb works by stimulating the natural cycle of hair growth - this natural cycle includes a resting or shedding stage, during which everyone loses a few more hairs than during the rest of the cycle. During this stage the LaserComb stimulates the root of the hair to promote the new heathy hair that forms. This so-called shedding stage is perfectly natural, and some users notice a few more hairs being shed during this stage when using the LaserComb. This is in fact a very positive indication that the LaserComb is beginning to treat your hair. During the rest of the hair growth cycle, the LaserComb provides energy for healthy hair growth.

There are a number of web-myths about the LaserComb, which it may be helpful to dispel. The LaserComb cannot "cause" hair loss - if you begin using the LaserComb during your hair's natural shedding stage then you may notice a very slight increase in shedding - it is literally a few more hairs, not clumps of hair or a significant amount that would be noticeable to anyone other than the user. And not everyone notices this - as everyone loses about 150 hairs a day normally, a slight increase of a couple of hairs may not be detected. Hello, we would recommend the LaserComb for adults only, and for a child to have experienced severe hair loss we would strongly urge you to check with your doctor for any underlying cause of this.

However, to answer your remaining questions, the LaserComb does work with hereditary hair loss, and does thicken existing hair. Normally, you will see healthier, thicker hair in a better condition. It is recommended that the LaserComb is used on an ongoing basis to maintain the benefits you experience having used it. And you should only use the LaserComb as directed, every other day - the hair and scalp need time to recover and for hair condition to improve between treatments. Hi, yes it for women too - in fact nearly half our customers of this product are women. While the clinical trials and FDA approval has been carried out for men the manufacturers are just completing trials with women and awaiting FDA approval for women too. They have informed us that the results seen for women and just as effective as for men.

You need to use the LaserComb on your scalp before applying any styling products - the teeth of the comb need to be able to part the hair and get the laser light directly to the scalp - it has been specially patent-designed this way.

You can then can apply your Regaine afterwards - this is a good combination actually, though I would also add in a DHT blocker too such as Revivogen so that you have a DHT blocker AND growth stimulators in the minoxidil and the LaserComb.

The LaserComb has a built-in Lithium Ion battery and once fully charged it can be used for approximately 24 hours of continuous use. When the battery requires charging, the HairMax will turn off and the red laser indicator light will start to blink. It is recommended that you always return the HM to the charging cradle after each use to keep it fully charged.

We recommend that the LaserComb be used 3 times per week, for optimal results.
