how long does the pain stay away - is this a permanent solution to carpal etc
Peak Nutrition Replies:
Well, permamenent solution would be a big claim but we know of many people who use this on a weekly (or more often if required) basis to manage their chronic pain. It won't make it go away for good but will help you manage the pain. The PainSolv is excellent for that!

HI, I just bought a pelvitone from you and it's not clear to me how to get the optimum benefits from it. Do I use it every day? what postion is best to be in - lying down, sitting, standing? How do I know when to change the settings from prog 3 which I have it on to something else? A bit more guidance would be very useful, thank you.

I wouldn't normally write a review for anything, to be honest this is my first one, but here goes.. After several courses of antibiotics last September, I have suffered EVERY month with horrible thrush like symptoms, I have spent an absolute fortune on medicines and creams etc. Browsing through a magazine last week I see the ad for balance activ, and the symptoms I have been having for the last 6 month all point to bv. I got my Balance Activ yesterday, and after only two days worth of treatment, I feel great, almost instant relief! I'm not one to rant and rave about a product, but after 6 month of bv and no relief, I would recommend this product to anyone. I plan on continuing to use this once or twice a week after I've used my weeks course for precautionary measures. I'm so glad I stumbled upon that ad!!!

Hi, My problem is that my hair fall is not noticible but when i wash my hair lots of hair is found in water. Is that normal? this is happening since i'm using Nioxin system 1. My hair came a little bit dryer and also each hair came a little bit thinner. thanks
Peak Nutrition Reply: As we do not sell the Nioxin range, I can't comment on whether your hair loss has been caused by using that treatment. We recommend a range of hairloss products that we believe in, and that have shown to be extremely effective in reducing hairloss. Everybody experiences some natural hairloss or shedding, whether suffering from specific hairloss problems or not, but if it is more than a normal shedding we would recommend the use of one of our ranges, such as Nourkrin, Procerin, or Viviscal. Many thanks

are there any known side effects to using a laser beam on your scalp ? I assume there is no radio-active waves involved with this product?
Peak Nutrition reply:
There are no known side effects with the HairMax LaserComb - remember that the technology used has been cleared by the FDA for safe and effective treatment of hair loss - FDA clearance is notoriously difficult to get! There is no radioactivity involved as the LaserComb uses low-level laser therapy.

Hi, I just recently sudden hair loss, almost most of my hair in the front region is gone and it is thinning as day goes. I consulted a trichologists, they said am starting to experience male pattern balsness(Genetically). Will this product give a solution to my problem, even if it comes genetically? And how does it counteract DHT?
Peak Nutrition reply
Hello, the LaserComb has been shown to be effective in the treatment of genetic male pattern baldness. The HairMax LaserComb is now the first non-drug, home-use medical device cleared by the FDA to treat the millions of men and women suffering from hereditary hair loss. Studies on the effects of Laser PhotoTherapy have shown an increase in adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, which contributes to the higher energy level in the living cells. In addition, an increase in blood flow to the capillaries of the hair root occurs, delivering more nutrients to the living cells that create the hair shaft. This increased blood flow also carries away more waste products which may diminish the effects of DHT on the miniaturization process of the hair follicles.

Hairmax Laser Comb -how to apply how sequance to use any side effect
Peak Nutrition Reply:
Hello, the LaserComb should be used as per the instruction book - use it every other day, with a side-to-side and back-to-front motion covering the whole of the scalp. There are no reported side effects with the LaserComb, and it has been given clearance for safe use by the FDA. Many thanks for your query.

I am 18, I noticed hair loss since 2-3 years. my scalp starts showing and this upset me! i would like to get some good advice...
Peak Nutrition Replies:
The good thing is that you have caught this early and as long as your hair loss is not due to reasons such as drug side effects you should be able to combat this.
Depending on the condition of your scalp you should consider a natural supplement to help combat the DHT binding to the androgen receptors on your hair follicles - consider something like Procerin or Advecia. Then, a good topical solution to help cleanse the scalp and provide optimum nourishment and a DHT blocker. Once again, Procerin XT Foam is good for this along with products like Revivogen or Tricomin.
Finally, the HairMax LaserComb is FDA approved for combating hair loss and regrowing hair in men and women and while the initial cost is high it lasts for years so saves money quite quickly.
You should be able to get back to where your hair was around 5 years ago at the most so hopefully you can reverse this problem entirely.

hairline just started receding in the front and temple regions don't need any regrowth just wondering if i will stop from further recession
Peak Replies:
Yes, there is every chance that the HairMax will help with that. It is indicated to do so based on the clinical trials and FDA approval. In fact, capturing it this early will really help and remember, we have a 6 month money back guarantee. I think you should see great results in such a time as 6 months.
Kind regards

Hi How does this product work with other products like hair fibres which i use as a cover up? Thanks.
Peak Nutrition reply: Hi, the LaserComb will work well with hair fibres such as Nanogen or Hairmax fibres - the teeth of the comb part the hair to provide the laser therapy directly to the scalp, so hair fibres do not interfere with the treatment. Many thanks

I've suffered from B.V. on and off for years and as I'm reaching the menopause it's seems to be happening more. It's horrible and the smell makes you feel really dirty and it contaminates underwear and trousers. I;ve used Balance Active before and it does really work. Ideally you need about a dose a day for 3 days and your cured.
Peak Nutrition Replies: Many women with recurrent BV find that by taking a maintenance dose of Balance Activ this helps prevent the BV from coming back - so we advise that when the BV has been cleared up, you take 1-2 tubes a week to keep your natural acidity and flora levels in check. Many thanks for the comments.

I already have thin hair and I have just started using the laser comb and i wanted to know will there be any initial lose Just after the first session the following day, I have lost about 20 strands . Is it an after effect or for how long will it continue.
Peak Replies:
You lose around 120 a day naturally without any kind of hair loss so don't worry about that 20. As for increase in hair fall this is fairly common when try a succesfull hair loss product as it helps push some of the hairs from the resting phase into shedding phase.
If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us to discuss.

I have a prolapse and was wondering whether any of these products were safe to use when you have a prolapse? Thanks

This could well be fine but you should discuss with your GP/medical practicioner before purchase. We know of many women who have used a variety of pelvic toners to good effect while they have a prolapse.

I was wondering if you could let me know if breastfeeding can be a reason for hair loss. I am a mother of two (I am 34 years old) I breast feeded my first child for 9 months and I did not have such a hair loss as now that I am towards the end of breastfeeding my second child. I am still taking Vitamins of Iron and I though it would be enough. I would appreciate an answer. Thank you.
Peak Nutrition Reply:
Hello, breastfeeding can take its toll on the mother's body, often depleting you of the essential nutrition you need for healthy hair support. Whilst you are still breastfeeding we would not recommend taking a supplement without doctor's advice, however, a product designed especially for new mums is the NHP Ante Natal Plus, which helps your body with getting the essential vitamins and minerals you need. Iron will not be particularly helpful. Once you have finished breast feeding, you may wish to consider a specific healthy hair supplement, such as Nourkrin. Many thanks

Hi, please contact us through our Contact Us Page to discuss your case further. Braided hair can often be the cause of traction alopecia - however, without discussing your individual case directly with you we cannot really advise the best course of action for you.

My hairloss is mainly on the front and sides.
Peak Nutrition Replies:
Hi Helene, this is common in women - if you have ruled out causes such as hormone imbalance etc with your Doctor then you may wish to consider products such as Revivogen, Thymuskin or the HairMax LaserComb which has recently received FDA Approval in the USA for the treatment of hair loss for women.

So, how many g's of berries does one need to consume to see these claimed benefits? Or are you best taking a supplement instead?
Peak Nutrition Reply: Hello, the report showed that those consuming on average at least one serving of blueberries per week were 10 per cent less likely to become hypertensive - a supplement such as New Nordic Blue Berry would be simpler to take and more easily regulated - a daily intake of 2 tablets provides Blueberry extract 5:1 equal to 2000mg dry berries. Many thanks

My hair has been falling out for about 2 yrs now, and it is very thin compared to when I was younger. I am 72. I don't have thyroid problems, but I do use HRT, after having a total hysterectomy 6 yrs ago. Will my hair ever stop falling out , and will it grow back a bit.
Peak Nutrition Reply: Hello, whilst some thinning of the hair may be due to age and the use of HRT drugs, there are preventitive measures that you can take to help retain healthy hair, and slow down thinning and encourage regrowth. We would recommend the use of Pilfood Hair Supplement in your case - it actively promotes healthy hair and its combination of vitamins, minerals and nutrients will help provide the hair and scalp with much needed nourishment.

Can these shampoos be used for loss of hair through chemotherapy without further side effects ?
Peak Nutrition Reply:
We put your question directly to the manufacturers, who have advised: "We have not done any testing regarding patients who are currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments. I suggest the customer ask their doctor who can tell them if any of the ingredients will interfere with treatment. Spectral.RS does not contain any Minoxidil, which would be the ingredient that would likely cause concern. As we haven’t tested specifically for this type of interaction it is highly recommended to seek the advice of a trained medical professional."

my hair is very thin at the back of the head, top end - it is really a patch of thin hair - I'm not sure how long it has been there as I cannot see it unless I use a mirror, I am 57 and post menopausal - I have the feeling my hair has been thinning a bit all over but I' sure I do not lose more than 100 hairs, usually less but more when I wash and condition I take supplements and wash with non sls shampoos I would really like stop any more thinning kind regards Marina
Peak Nutrition Reply:
If you have noticed a general thinning of hair all over then you may benefit from a product such as Revivogen's Bio Cleansing Shampoo, which helps fight against thinning hair and hairloss, or Pilfood Hair Supplement, which increases the numbers of hairs in the growth cycle, and helps support strong and healthy hair. Nourkrin Extra Strength is also an option - it is extremely popular for those in your age group who have noticed a gradual thinning of the hair.

Oh yes, it will certainly be as effective in those areas as others. The LaserComb works by stimulating growth in the hair follicles even if they are dormant.

hi i have had alopecia for over 15 years, the doctors say my scalp is scared and my hair will never grow back, i am afro carribean and i would like to know if the combe will help hair growth, i am completly bald, i only have hair at the back of my head, i am a 48yr old black woman, and in desperate need of your help, this condition has made me very depressed please help if you can
Peak Nutrition Reply:
If you have scarring and the doctors say that your hair will never grow back I'm afraid that it is likely that the HairMax LaserComb will not help, no - it will help existing hair follicles grow, even if they are dormant, but if they are dead then there is little that can be done as far as we are aware, other than transplants. Sorry.

I have only started suffering from BV for the since i was 38 years old. I am very clean and never wash with soap, always specially designed femine washes. The smell is - sorry WAS - always worse during and after sex(most embarassing) and the week before my period too I am dry yet have a leaky discharge which smells bad appears and lasted for days. Browsing the internet one day on the subject i came across the advert for Balance active and immediatly rushed to the chemist before they shut. I used the first night and noticed the improvement the very next day. I have only just finished my 7 day course and am due on my period next week. i have noticed a slight smell again but it does say you can use it on a regular basis. Anyway, really just wanted to say thank you to the person who came up with this gel. You have really given my confidence back
