Q. What frequency should this be given. The dose is upto a 1/4 cap per medium dog - but how many times a day and howe many days is this for. Either in treating possible KC or for the dose suggested for the prevention of KC. Thanks.
A. Administer every hour for up to 10 doses. Thereafter, administer 3 times daily for 14 -21 days.
Cats and very small dogs: Large pinch of granules sprinkled into the mouth.
Small to medium dogs: 2 pinches sprinkled into the mouth.
Medium to large dogs: 1/4 cap of granules sprinkled into the mouth.
NOTE: KC-Defense may also be given three times daily for up to a week at 3 - 6 month intervals to naturally support the immune system and maintain respiratory health. This is highly recommended before a stay in kennels or a cattery, or for 5 - 7 days before a visit to the vet, if possible.
Q. my dog has caught kennel cough after a stay in the kennels would this product cure it without antibotic
A. We can't really say whether it would cure kennel cough to be honest as each pet is different and each bout of kennel cough is different too. Q. My dog has kennel cough and yesterday at the vets she was given an anti immflametry injection along with 5 days of anti biotics, Can I use this aswell ?
A. The manufacturers say it's fine to do so though as a caveat they suggest you discuss with your vet as well. The KC Kennel Cough product is 100% herbal so it should be fine.
