How Does the Medisana Electrical Lice Comb Work?
Kills lice electronically without chemicals! When switched on the comb emits a buzzing sound. When the buzzing stops during combing this indicates a louse has been trapped in the teeth section of the comb, and therefore acts as an excellent way of checking hair for lice. The dead lice can then be removed.
The unit comprises metal-coated teeth, and when a louse is detected between two teeth a small electrical charge passes between the teeth and kills the insect.
Insulation on the tips of the comb protect the scalp from any possible tingling sensation from the small current.
How Do You Use It?
When an infestation is detected the comb should be used for approx 5 minutes per day on dry hair, for 2 weeks. This will ensure any new lice hatching from eggs will be eliminated.
The unit is also effective in destroying the eggs on contact.

Operates on a single AA (1.5V) battery which is included.
These units can however also be used in conjunction with other chemical treatments as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist, if you wish.
